It was finally my time to try the "walking simulator." The "walking simulator was in the dreaded "round table" room. If I remember correctly to be hooked up to the machine. You would step into a a contraption that looked like a pair of drawers with braces attached to them. They would put the braces on your legs. They would then hoist you up with the "walking simulator" Talking about a wedgie! Once you were in the standing position you would then try to walk. The machine would monitor all kinds of things. Beats me as to what they were tracking?Remember at this time I still could not rationally figure out what was going on with my therapy. I do remember my legs killing me after my first "walk." We worked building the strength in my legs before trying the "walking simulator" again.
While working on my arm and leg proved difficult. The mind would prove to be as difficult if not harder! I had just enough thought process remaining to make me stupid and stubborn!

Near The End?
I remember near the end of my time at Stallworth. We would continue working on the arm and leg and speech therapy. In Occupation Therapy we started learning how to get in and out of the bathtub? Let me correct that , how to get in and out of the tub off a shower bench. I would give just about anything to be able to get in the tub and soak! But my backside seems destined not to set in water again. sigh.....
Let Us Be Erect!
It was my time to try the walking simulator! If I remember correctly, to get to use the simulator you would get ito a contraption that looked like a pair of drawers with braces on them. They would hoist you up into a standing position. Talking about a wedgie when this machine yanked you into a standing position! I would then try to pretend I was walking! The machine monitored all sorts of things? Beats the heck out of me what it was monitoring If I remember correctly at this time I was still in la-la land? La-la land is where you hear what is being said, but the sponge ( the brain) has been sitting on the sink about 2 months and is hard as a brick! The sponge can't absorb the information! The first session with the machine must not have went well because , I went back to trying to strengthen my legs?
The arm and leg were proving to be difficult to rehab! The mind was going to show that it was still boss and prove to be more difficult! Eventually I did make it "walking" on the contraption!
